This is a rare Antique Fede ring
The two hands symbolise friendship and love.
The design goes back to Roman times.
Fede comes from the Italian 'Mani in Fede' meaning hands clasped in faith.
These rings were also used as wedding rings,
the couple would each wear one joining the together on the wedding day
with a third ring sealing their vows.
